"Welcome to "The Mystic Art of Tai Chi Chuan".

Recently it was pointed out to me that beginners coming as newbies into a Tai Chi Chuan class, can be Overwhelmed.

That's providing, of course that they are seeing a real Tai Chi Chuan Instructor, and not just one of those pretenders who wave their arms around in the breeze and call themselves Tai Chi Instructors !

Tai Chi Chuan is a Huge art and requires some understanding.

Some aspects of the art can seem complex to the beginner.

It is with this in mind that "TheMystic Art of Tai Chi Chuan" was written.

Leonardo Da Vinci said... "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication".

At first glance Tai Chi seems to be a dance-like form of Moving Meditation, and it is very easy to misinterpret what you see.

Countless articles have been written about Tai Chi Chuan, but a high percentage of them are actually a Misrepresentation of the art.

But ... Now that you are here ... All that is about to change !

For once in your life you have landed at the Right place at the Right time ..... Welcome.

It's not how many movements you can do that counts, but how well you
do them, and what benefits come to you as a result of practicing them.
The Mystic Art of Tai Chi Chuan is a Facinating E-book written in a"Tell-it-like-it-is"style. It will clarify many things that the General Public doesn't know about this deep and absorbing art.

It will introduce you to a system of learning which can be life-changing. When you start to study this most misunderstood art, you will find yourself doing things differently. You will walk differently. You will lift things differently. You will move, and work and rest differently.

Mastery of Tai Chi also carries with it, the process of UNLEARNING.

Mark Twain said "Education consists mainly of what we have unlearned".

You will begin to unlearn all the bad habits you have collected over a life-time.

You will learn SYNERGY. This principle alone can bring great personal power !

More Energy...More Power...More Robust Good Health.

The Mystic Art of Tai Chi Chuan will introduce you to concepts you may not have heard before. It will take you on a journey of exploration which will explain how you can make a start on your own training at home without all the inconvenience of the commute, and expense, and the inconvenience of having to fit into time-slots.

The world is a changing place. People are doing things differently than they used to. Many are "Work-at Home" folks now. Some folks shop online instead of driving to a supermarket. There are less employees in the stores. Automatic check-outs are happening in some stores. So, where are those people who used to serve you in the stores ? There are less and less of them. They are at home now.

I love that scene in "Back to the Future" where our young hero goes back to 1955.

He's standing in the park, and he looks across at the servo just as a car pulls in. By the time the vehicle has stopped, about five or six sharp and shiny guys with crisply pressed uniforms and peaked caps run to greet the car. They quickly surround it and swiftly go to work checking tyres, cleaning the windscreens, pumping the gas etc.

Now a "Servo" is not really a "Servo" any more ... it's a "Serve yourself"
You can't even ask a mechanical question any more, and if your car has a problem, this is no longer the place to solve that problem.

In the prophetic words of the Bob Dylan song "The times they are a-changing" The more you have to commute, the more your time is consumed, the more you have to sit in your car and crawl around in the smog. It's no wonder people want to stay home. If you are a country dweller, distance becomes an issue.

But you don't want to miss out on the goody-goodies of life ... So it's

INTERNET TO THE RESCUE !
It has been said that for every one hour of class time, you should do five hours of practice at home. So, this being the case, a huge amount of your practice and perfecting of the art is DONE AT HOME. The class is the guide or the glue that holds it all together, without which there is no progress, but the bulk of your training is done at home where you can really concentrate on developing those essential skills.

So, if you can learn your movements without leaving home, this gives you more time to learn ... more time to practice ... and more time to conquer and master the art. Your training begins with imitation.

Without doubt one of the greatest Masters in the long history of Tai Chi Chuan was Yang Lu-Chan.

History tells us that he was denied access to Chen family Tai Chi, and resorted to HIDING AND SECRETLY WATCHING in order to learn their movements and the implications and applications.

So ...
Why is it that history's great Masters became overwhelmingly powerful /invincible, and ultimately triumphant AFTER THEY SPENT TIME AWAY FROM THE PUBLIC ... away from communal practice ... isolated from HUMAN CONTACT ?

Another case study from history was Tong Long. He was a failure as a "Fighting Shaolin" Monk. He consistantly lost his bouts against the other Monks.

He escaped from the Shaolin Monastery and hid himself in the wilderness and mountain regions deep in China's interior.

After studying the fighting habits of the Preying Mantis (a kind of stick insect) he developed a new style of Kung Fu which mimicked the aggressive trapping methods of the Mantis.

When he showed up back at the Monastery he met all challenges and was victorious over all comers. In other words, he won all his fights from that point on.

The point ... He became the Victor After his period of isolation.

Masatatsu Oyama was another Martial hero who after
three years of isolation in the mountains, returned to fight in the savage "Fight to the Death" tournaments
which were notorious at that time in Japan.

He went on to fight bulls. Generally he killed them with one single blow as they attacked. He killed fifty two bulls in all !

Cogen Yamaguchi was a Shinto Priest and the highest graded Master of Karate in history. He was known as "Rough Yamaguchi" and held the rank of twelth dan. He was awarded two honorary degrees over and above the Black Belt ranking system.

He often disappeared for long periods of isolation.
He would stand under icy cold waterfalls in mid winter in order to concentrate his spirit...

You see ... Isolation again.

Even the great founders of philosophy and the major religions had their visions and gained clarity and went on to become the great leaders of the people that they were AFTER ISOLATION!

And so it is that you too will derive benefits from training at home. But you will have the advantage of instruction as well ... The Mystic Art of TaiChi Chuan will show you how you can learn Tai Chi Chuan from an Experienced Teacher of the art ... without the commute ... without the travel ... without the hassles of traffic ... and ... without the strain of time restraints.
